Clubs
We encourage all students to participate in extracurricular clubs; Those at RPCC are listed here. Below you can find club lists and information for each of the district high schools.
ECO Beta Club-- ECO Teacher Kristen Trichell and ECO Secretary Melynda Trosclair are the sponsors of the BETA Club. This club focuses is on Service Hours in support of our school and community. Individuals can compete at the annual BETA conference in many different categories.
ECO Culture Club--The Culture Club is sponsored by Mrs. Landry. Their goal is to bring about cultural awareness through understanding and tolerance of other perspectives. They sponsor door decorating competitions, writing competitions, public service announcements featuring national holidays, and school-wide activities meant to inform and bring together our student community.
ECO Creative Writing Club-- The Creative Writing Club meets every other week on Friday afternoons to write and share both prepared and spontaneous pieces. Anyone interested in writing at ECO is welcome to join. You can contact Ms. Theriot to be added to the google classroom and stay informed about meeting activities and prompts for future meetings.
ECO Rougarou Mentors--Under the guidance of Mrs. Zeller and Mrs. Aucoin, Juniors and Seniors support the Sophomores and Freshmen by giving presentations and advice for success at ECO. They help set goals and work on making better choices.
RPCC SGA--Students are able to join the RPCC Student Government Association. SGA plans activities and events for students and faculty on campus.
RPCC Intervarsity Christian Fellowship-- Our vision is to see students and faculty transformed, campuses renewed, and world changes developed. Our chapters exist to serve the campus. We welcome students into caring, diverse communities where they can build friendships and explore the Christian faith in the marketplace of ideas. We believe that God has called us to reach every corner of every campus. Change the University. Change the world.
RPCC Phi Theta Kappa--The Beta Xi Mu Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa was chartered on January 8, 2006. Phi Theta Kappa is an international, co-educational honorary society for students attending two-year colleges. Benefits of membership in PTK include scholarship opportunities, recognition for academic achievement, leadership opportunities, and academic and career resources. Eligible students are invited to join each fall and spring semester. Qualifications for membership include a 3.5 RPCC grade point average and 12 or more college-level (1000-level and above) credit hours earned at RPCC. To remain a member, students must maintain a 3.0 RPCC cumulative grade point average.
RPCC Sigma Kappa Delta--The English honor society for community colleges, Kappa Epsilon Chapter of Sigma Kappa Delta, was chartered in 2012. The society strives to confer distinction for high achievement in English language and literature in undergraduate studies and provide cultural stimulation on college campuses. Additional goals include serving the local communities by promoting interest in literature and the English language. Eligible students are invited to apply for membership during the fall and spring semesters.
